Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Bake Time: 1 hour

Ingredients
-
470g all-purpose flour
-
30g sugar
-
10g baking powder
-
8g salt
-
2 Tbsp honey or agave nectar
-
1 bottle (12 ounces) beer (lagers work best)
-
4 Tbsp (half stick) butter, melted
-
Rock Salt
-
Extra stick of butter for pan greasing

Cooking
-
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
-
Grease a 9″ x 5″ inch loaf pan with a cold stick of butter.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
-
Using a wooden spoon, stir the beer, and honey into the dry ingredients until just mixed.
-
Pour half the melted butter into the loaf pan. Then spoon the batter into the pan and pour the rest of the butter on top of the batter.
-
Sprinkle rock salt on top of the batter. Add as much or as little as desired. Start with 1 tbsp and change as desired. Press the salt into the batter to help it stick.
-
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until top is golden brown and a toothpick/knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
