This is going to be a very long write up, so I've split it over three pages: one for each city in our trip.  I hope you get a great read out of it and can use some of the information if you ever take the same trip.

Our options for getting to South Africa were limited, but one option allowed us to travel through London, a city we both love, but have never visited together.  So, we took the opportunity to take 2 days there while on our way to Cape Town.  It provided a nice break to the flights, because on the way back, we would spend 32 hours traveling, a long time to spend in a metal tube.
